Throughout the month of June

Stop by any of our branches throughout the month of June and pick up a Coronation Chicken Spice Kit! Each kit will include a pack of spices, a recipe, and information about the history of the Coronation. 

Senior Movie Matinee: A Man Called Otto

Wednesday, June 7th at 10:30 am

Enjoy freshly popped popcorn and watch a movie on the big screen.... a monthly special event, for seniors only!

Crafternoon: Summer Spa Day

Wednesday, June14th from 3 pm - 4 pm

Time for a summer refresh! This DIY Summer Spa day will show you how to make invigorating lip scrub and face masks using simple ingredients and fun flavors, including watermelon, lemon, and strawberry. Fresh lemonade and strawberries will also be provided. Registration is not required. Adults only, please.

Crafternoon: 4th of July Fabric Flowers

Wednesday, June 28th from 3 pm - 4 pm

Celebrate the 4th of July by making patriotic fabric flowers. They will make a lovely centerpiece for your 4th of July party.

Life Coaching with Davina McKnight
Saturdays beginning June 3rd from 10 am - 11:15 am

Come to the library to get your life unstuck! Life Coach Davina McKnight will be holding weekly group coaching meetings to help us find some life balance. A coach is a support partner that helps you find self awareness, gain new insight and perspective through your own explorations and helps you create relevant steps moving you towards your goals.

It is completely possible to have a life of harmony by learning tools, asking yourself the hard questions and by being in community with others forging along on their own journey. Ask a Lawyer Day
Tuesday, June 6th from 10 am - 2 pm

Georgia Legal Services Program, a nonprofit law firm that provides free civil legal services to Georgians who cannot afford an attorney, offers free 30 minute consultations.  Eligible community members schedule an appointment at the Cartersville Library Reference Desk, 770-382-4203, ext. 138, then meet with an attorney in person, one-on-one, ask questions, and get free legal advice.

Yoga with Susan
Wednesdays beginning June 7th from 10 am - 11:15 am

Susan Rodney will guide us through a gentle yoga practice suitable for adults.  Bring your mat or a large towel.  Bring any props you like to use.

Artist Reception: Featuring Dorothy Reavis

Come meet local artist and art teacher Dorothy Reavis. Her art will be featured in the Cartersville Library Art Gallery for the months of June and July along with a mural in the new reading room on the top floor of the library. Meet and speak with the artist about her beautiful art!

Sew Creative Stitchery: Needleturn Appliqué
Saturday, June 17th from 10 am - 2 pm

Needle Turn Applique
 is an applique technique in which the raw edge of applique pieces are turned under as the piece is being appliqued to the fabric base. The edge of the applique needle is used to turn the seam allowance under during the stitching process.

For Seniors (Under 60 - Financial Eligibility Applies)
Need to get advice from a lawyer? This program provides free 10-20 minute consultations with volunteer lawyers for people who have legal problems to discuss but do not have a lawyer representing them. Remember to organize and bring all related documents, forms and court papers to your appointment! Come prepared with all questions written down: time is limited.
